3 teens shot, robbed him outside North Little Rock apartment complex, 41-year-old tells police

A man was shot and robbed of his wallet and cellphone by three teens outside a North Little Rock apartment complex Saturday night, he told authorities.

On Wednesday evening, officers responded to UAMS Medical Center, where a 41-year-old man said he was robbed after leaving Arrowhead apartments, 1707 Arrowhead Road, four days before.

The man said he was waiting for his brother to pick him up about 11 p.m. Saturday when three teenage boys approached him and demanded money, according to a police report.

The victim told authorities that he grabbed one of the teens, and another shot him in the arm.

The robbers reportedly took his cellphone and leather wallet containing $370 in cash, a bank card and identification cards.

The 41-year-old told officers that he continued to wait for his brother to pick him up and did not seek medical attention at first because the bullet passed cleanly through his left forearm. He added that he did not call police because he did not recognize the robbers or see their faces.

Four days later, he said, he went to the hospital because he was worried his arm would get infected.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
