Woman charged with prostitution after meeting undercover detective at Little Rock hotel, police say

A 43-year-old woman was arrested after accepting money and engaging in sexual contact with an undercover detective at a Little Rock hotel, police said.

Angela Dawn Bowman of Seagrove, N.C., arranged a meeting for Tuesday through an ad on Backpage, a website that includes advertisements for escort services, according to a police report.

Authorities say the woman agreed to schedule an hourlong date at Staybridge Suites, 1020 S. University Ave., for $200.

Bowman was arrested around 9 p.m. after arriving at the hotel and engaging in sexual contact with the undercover detective, the report states.

She faces charges of prostitution, possessing an instrument of a crime and operating a business without a license.

Bowman's name did not appear in an online inmate roster for the Pulaski County jail as of Wednesday morning.

Police said another woman, Elsie Bryn Morgan, 36, of Little Rock, was arrested Nov. 1 after also agreeing to meet an undercover officer at a Little Rock hotel.
