Little Rock group seeks long-wedded couples for Arkansas 'Marriage Hall of Fame'

A Little Rock-based group wants to put Arkansas' longest-married couples in a "Marriage Hall of Fame."

A Friday news release from the Family Council, a conservative education and research organization, is looking for people who have been wedded for more than 70 years to share their stories. The top 10 longest-married couples will receive statements of recognition and be entered into the organization's "Arkansas Marriage Hall of Fame."

"In today's society we are surrounded by naysayers of marriage but the married couples we find will prove them all wrong and show that marriage can last a lifetime," Family Council President Jerry Cox said in the release.

Entries can be submitted to the group until Feb. 2.
