Suspected serial Sunglass Hut thief strikes again at chain's location at North Little Rock mall, police say

A thief who has a history of taking items from Sunglass Huts in central Arkansas is suspected of stealing merchandise from the chain's location at McCain Mall on Wednesday night, police said.

Around 7:10 p.m., the man grabbed a pair of black Gucci sunglasses worth $485 and and a pair of green Versace sunglasses valued at $285 while a second assailant pushed a 20-year-old employee into a cart and held him down, according to a North Little Rock Police Department report.

The worker was said to be uninjured. Investigators tried to obtain fingerprints, but determined that the "only thing touched by the suspect were the sunglasses he stole."

The thief who took the sunglasses, described as a white male with a brown beard who stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 210 pounds, is "believed to be involved in multiple thefts across" Sunglass Huts in North Little Rock and Little Rock. No details about the other cases were listed in the report.

No arrests have been made.
