Felon with gun said to flee traffic stop in Little Rock

A convicted felon carrying a pistol fled on foot from a traffic stop in Little Rock on Saturday night, according to a police report.

A Little Rock police officer pulled over Trevis Holmes, 26, of North Little Rock at the 5800 block of West 51st Street, the report said.

"Mr. Holmes was discovered to have in his possession a pistol, scale and ran from the traffic stop," the report stated.

Officers chased Holmes into a random residence nearby, the report said.

Holmes was charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons, fleeing, criminal trespass, possessing instruments of a crime and several traffic violations.

He remained at the Pulaski County jail Sunday night.
