Man wearing scrubs sexually assaults woman in Little Rock alley, police say

Little Rock police say a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man who gave her a ride Friday afternoon.

According to a report from the Little Rock Police Department, a man in a red Chevrolet Tahoe approached the victim and another woman who were walking in Arkansas' capital city and offered them a ride.

After dropping off the other woman, the man made a stop at his residence, where he changed into scrubs "because he was going to work," authorities said.

The man later pulled over in an alley, reportedly telling the 25-year-old Jacksonville resident that his vehicle was overheating. He then grabbed the victim’s jeans and demanded sex, according to the report. He also tried to take her shirt and pants off, she told police.

The woman was able to honk the horn, but the assailant took her phone when she tried to call police, the report stated. Authorities said she ran from the SUV shortly before 4 p.m.

In the report, the woman described the assaulter as a black man in his 20s or 30s who stood 6 feet tall and had short, sandy hair.

No suspects were named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
