A Little Rock-based telecommunications company is set to open a new headquarters just north of the Arkansas River in North Little Rock.

In a statement Monday, First Orion said it would build a multi-story, multimillion-dollar office anchoring the planned North Little Rock downtown plaza, which will be in the 500 block of Main Street.

First Orion’s CEO, Charles D. Morgan, called the location an “inspiring place for us to be.”

“We are helping to transform the region into a prominent technology hub and we are honored to be such a big part of the Argenta Plaza,” Morgan said in a statement.

The 60,000-square-foot building will house a workforce of about 200 people as the anchor tenant of the outdoor space.

The plaza is reportedly set to feature jetted fountains, a large video screen behind a stage and a freestanding water wall.

First Orion, which currently employs around 100 workers, provides call management services for millions of cellphone users, allowing them to block unwanted calls, according to its website.

The company has additional offices in Seattle, Dallas and London.
