Charlotte's Web continues; Fort Smith will be glowing

A little pig with a big heart becomes famous with the help of his clever arachnid friend Charlotte and their chatty animal neighbors as Bentonville-based Trike Theatre continues the run of its adaptation of E.B. White's Charlotte's Web, 2 and 4 p.m today, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, 2 and 4 p.m. Nov. 26, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at Fayetteville's Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St. Evening shows, which will also include free hot chocolate, are "PJ friendly" -- fans of all ages can show up in their pajamas.

Fort Smith lights

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith will hold its holiday lighting ceremony, 5:30 p.m. Monday on the Campus Green, 5210 Grand Ave., Fort Smith, with singers and hot chocolate. Logan Moore, 2017 Miss UAFS, will be the master of ceremonies. Admission is free. Call (479) 788-7300.

ASU Feaste

With costumes, decorations, comedy and fanfare "in the style of Merrie Olde England," the Arkansas State University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will serve as the court of "King Henry the Eighth of England, Jonesboro and Craighead County" for ASU's annual Madrigal Feaste, 7 p.m. Dec. 1-2 in the Grand Hall of ASU's Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.

Tickets, available through Nov. 28, are $40, $35 for senior citizens and ASU faculty, staff and students. Proceeds benefit the ASU Choir Camp scholarship fund. Call (870) 972-2781 or visit astate.edu/tickets.

The wassail bowl will be available 15 minutes prior to seating; the Red Wolf Quartet, a bassoon ensemble, will perform as guests arrive. Music during the Feaste will consist of traditional carols, brass fanfares, harpsichord solos and madrigals and chansons sung by the royal court. Faculty member Dale Miller and student conducting assistant Matthew Crociata will lead.
