Springdale

• Billy McGriff, 35, of 323 Michael St. in Springdale was arrested Tuesday in connection with aggravated assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a certain persons and furnishing prohibited articles. McGriff was being held Wednesday at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.

Fire

Fayetteville

• Hazmat crews responded to the Washington Regional Medical Center around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after a patient said he had been poisoned by ricin. It was determined not to be ricin and there was no threat to the public, according to the fire department. The man had entered the emergency waiting room and claimed to have had a ricin exposure and that he brought the material with him. The waiting room was immediately evacuated and the individual was removed to a decontamination room, said Asst. Chief Thomas Good of the Fayetteville Fire Department. The emergency department remained in operation throughout the incident and the only affected area was that waiting room. It has since been cleaned as a precaution and opened back up to the public, Good said.

• A vehicle was reported stolen at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday at 2663 N. Stagecoach Drive.

• A vehicle was reported stolen at 12:34 p.m. Tuesday at the E-Z Mart convenience store, 320 E. Robinson Ave.

• A vehicle was reported stolen at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday at 718 Success Ave.

• A vehicle was reported stolen at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday at 705 Dyer St.
