'Corrective' tobacco ads near run, will appear in weekly Little Rock newspaper

Tobacco companies will soon begin running advertisements on television networks and newspapers across the country designed to counter what a judge called "false, deceptive and misleading public statements" that the companies made for for more than half a century about the health effects of smoking.

They should have put them in the ADG and other major newspapers as well as the Sun. That little-known newsweekly (I never heard of it; though I'm white, I've seen other LR papers aimed at African Americans) should get its just reward as one of the successful plaintiffs; but it should NOT be used as an excuse to deny this truth to all other Arkansans of all races.
