A humble middle-class family deals with life, love and the 1904 World's Fair in Meet Me in St. Louis (music and lyrics by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, book by Hugh Wheeler, based on the 1944 MGM movie musical), onstage 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 7-9 and 14-16 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 10 and 17 at the Studio Theatre, 320 W. History sandwich

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will tour Little Rock City Hall, 500 W. Markham St., at noon Friday for its December "Sandwiching in History" session. The building, designed by Charles L. Thompson, has been the capital city seat of government since 1908 and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Admission is free. Gallery Walk

Hot Springs art galleries and studios will offer a special Gallery Walk and a weekend of art demos, exhibits and events Friday-Sunday as part of the second annual "It's a Wonderful Life in Hot Springs" celebration. Participating galleries will collect nonperishable food items for Jackson House, a Hot Springs food pantry with a hot lunch program. Ouachita Baptist University's Concert Choir, Ouachita Sounds, Women's Chorus and Ouachita Singers will headline the School of Fine Arts' "A Festival of Christmas," 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, which marks the festival's 25th anniversary and the same anniversary of the construction of the university's Jones Performing Arts Center, where the festival performance will take place. The lineup of performers will also include Ouachita Honor Choir, a local children's chorus; the Ouachita's Handbell Ringers; and a pit orchestra of students from OBU's instrumental program. 'Swingin' Christmas'

The Arkansas Chamber Singers will hold a fundraiser, "A Swingin' Christmas," Saturday -- 5:30 p.m., cocktails and silent auction, with a 6:15 p.m. dinner -- with a premium view of the Capitol Lighting Fireworks display, at the Little Rock Club, on the top floor of the Regions Financial Center, 400 W. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Community Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, UALR, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock. The program: the Concerto in E-flat major for two pianos and orchestra, K.365, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with pianists Eri Okawa and Ethan Day soloing in the first movement and Michael Caysido and Samuel Schalchlin in movements two and three; and the Symphony No. 88 in G major by Franz Joseph Haydn.
