Arkansas is not really a "plum" for either AD position or head coach. We may be ready to offer big money but money isn't everything to some people. And money does not buy success.

No wonder he doesn't want the job: We've already told all potential AD candidates they will NOT get a say in picking their most important employee -- the head football coach. Letting the interim AD pick the coach is The Hill's stupidest idea since firing Jack Crowe one game into the season.

It was rather stupid to fire Jeff Long in the first place. It's ironic that Jeff Long was fired a couple years after getting an award for best Athletic Director in the Nation. If he felt Bielema deserved another year, the board should have trusted his judgement. Dr. Steinmetz and Cramer-Peoples didn't create this disaster, the board made those decisions.

I sure hope they can find a viable candidate so JCP doesn't end up getting the job by default.
