A 27-year-old man died after his motorcycle flipped onto its side and slid into a tree Friday night, according to a report from Arkansas State Police.
Robby Brooks was riding a 2015 Honda CBR 650 west on Sparksford Drive when he lost control in a curve at East Gum Street just outside Russellville, police said. It happened around 9:20 p.m.
Police said the motorcycle slid on its side before striking a tree.
Brooks, who is from Russellville, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Conditions at the time of the crash were reportedly clear and dry.
At least 374 people have died in crashes on Arkansas roads so far this year according to preliminary crash data.
