Pianist Yoosun Kang in Concert

ARKADELPHIA — Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will host Yoosun Kang in a piano concert at 7:30 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. Kang, a native of South Korea, serves as a professor of music at Chung-Ang University in South Korea and teaches applied piano and piano literature. Blessing of the Animals

BENTON — A Blessing of the Animals (the celebration of St. Francis Day), led by the Revs. Lorrie Slaymaker and Nancy Cook, will take place at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1112 Alcoa Road. Ageless Bikers Club

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Ageless Bikers Club has 10 different bike rides that are 16 to 35 miles long. The rides are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays on quiet paved country roads (one ride has up to 3 miles of gravel). No one is left behind, and the group stops often to regroup and socialize. Several rides are “out and back,” so the beginner can turn back for a shorter ride. ARKADELPHIA — The Arkadelphia Human Development Center Volunteer Council will host its third annual AHDC Walk a Mile in My Shoes walkathon from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 8 on the DeGray Lake Sunset Trail at the Lower Dam Spillway in Caddo Valley.
