22-year-old Arkansan dies after being ejected in single-vehicle crash

A 22-year-old man died after the vehicle he was driving overturned on an Arkansas road Monday morning, state police said.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 7 a.m. as Adam Criswell of Lonoke was heading west on Sandhill Road in Lonoke County, according to a report.

Criswell lost control of the 1999 Mazda as it veered off the road’s south side, causing it to travel off the north side and overturn.

Police say Criswell, who was ejected, suffered fatal injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Travel conditions at the time of the crash were described as clear and dry.

Criswell’s death was one of at least 375 recorded so far this year on an Arkansas road, according to preliminary figures.
