Police: North Little Rock apartment worker says resident exposed himself, offered to pay her to touch him

An employee of a North Little Rock apartment complex told police that a 74-year-old resident exposed himself to her and then offered to pay her if she would touch him, authorities said.

The resident was identified on a police report, but he was not arrested because the crimes are misdemeanors and they didn't happen in the presence of an officer, North Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said.

The employee said she was working Friday afternoon in the office of the complex on Richsmith Lane when the man came in, said he needed "a hug" and then tried "to kiss and grab her," according to the report.

The man later "put money on her desk and pulled his pants and underwear down, exposing his penis to her" before stating "if you touch it you can have the money," officer Samantha J. Thompson wrote in the report.

Police also wrote in the report that "it was later learned that the female employee that was in [the victim's] position before her had been allowing [the man] to come by her office where she took his money in return for gratifying him sexually."

Management at the office told officers they would evict the man.

Dedrick said the victim "would have to go seek out a warrant from the prosecutor's office" to pursue charges.
