BLYTHEVILLE -- Police are investigating after the body of a man was found Monday along a road in Mississippi County, said Capt. Rob Rounsavall of the Mississippi County sheriff's office.
A farmer found the body of Melvin Williams Jr., 25, in a field along Arkansas 148 near Clear Lake on Monday afternoon.
Williams had been shot, Rounsavall said. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
Police don't have any suspects.
