Robbers held employees at gunpoint in Little Rock discount store holdup, police say

Employees were held at gunpoint in a Little Rock discount store while a robber stole cash from the business Wednesday night, according to a report from the Little Rock Police Department.

The assistant store manager, a 24-year-old woman, told police two people dressed in black clothing, gloves and ski masks entered the Dollar General at 3124 Roosevelt Rd. around 9 p.m.

The woman said the two robbers locked the store door behind them and forced her and three other employees into the manager's office at gunpoint.

One robber held the employees at gunpoint while the other took money out of the cash registers and safe, the report said.

The report said the robbers also made off with one employee's cell phone, which was valued at $1,000.

The assistant manager told police she last saw the robbers fleeing the store on foot, traveling south on Brown Street toward Asher Avenue.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
