A second arrest has been made in connection with a deadly carjacking Thursday at a central Arkansas apartment complex.

Jeffery King, 27, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of capital murder in the killing of 29-year-old James Ward, who was found fatally shot at Chapel Ridge apartments.

The apartment complex at 5900 McCain Park Place is just outside the North Little Rock city limits.

Authorities say King was arrested on a warrant Tuesday as authorities searched his residence on Pike Avenue in Jacksonville.

Police arrested Terry Miller Jr., 26, of Cabot on Monday on a charge of capital murder in the case.

Records show King and Miller remained at the Pulaski County jail without bail as of Wednesday morning.

An investigation is ongoing into Ward’s killing, authorities said.
