Dove Award winner Skillet to head Air1 bill at Verizon

Christian rock band Skillet will headline the Air1 Positive Hits Tour, which will also feature Britt Nicole, Colton Dixon, Tauren Wells and Gawvi, plus guest speaker Mark Lee of Third Day, at 7 p.m. today at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. Tickets are $49.75, $36.75, $26.75 and $19.75.

Skillet is a two man, two-woman band formed in Memphis in 1996, consisting of husband John and wife Korey Cooper, along with Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison.

The band, which has won five Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, has released nine albums, the latest of which, Unleashed, came out in 2016. In July, the band went on tour as the opening act for Korn and Stone Sour.

Air1 is a network of Christian-oriented radio stations, Mark Lee is the author of the book Hurt Road.
