A 74-year-old Arkansas man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, authorities said.
Jerome Allan Yester of Harrison was booked into the Boone County jail on 30 counts of that charge, online records show.
Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge said in a statement that the arrest came after an investigation by the cyber crimes unit within her office.
Rutledge said investigators learned that a computer at Yester's residence had been used to download sexually explicit material involving children.
Yester was no longer listed as an inmate at the jail on Friday.
