Authorities in Arkansas say a woman was injured in a drive-by shooting Thursday night.
In a news release, Hot Springs police said the shooting happened as the victim was walking in a parking lot near a business in the 600 block of Albert Pike Road.
When officers arrived around 11:20 p.m., they found a 55-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her lower back, the release said.
Witnesses told investigators the woman was walking through the lot when shots were fired from a maroon sedan.
The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital for injuries police said were not life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
