An 85-year-old Harrison man died in a crash Wednesday night after his vehicle entered the path of another on a state highway, authorities said.
Shortly before 8 p.m., Lex McCormick of Harrison was driving a 2010 Ford east on Sunset Court, just outside Harrison in Boone County, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.
McCormick "failed to yield to oncoming traffic" at Arkansas 7 and pulled into the path of a southbound 1998 Ford, according to the report.
The vehicles collided, and McCormick suffered fatal injuries. The other driver, 63-year-old Sandra Jackson of Harrison, was listed as being hurt, though the report didn't detail the extent of her injuries.

It was raining at the time of the crash, state police said.
