Maumelle senior Connor McCullough threw four touchdown passes as the Hornets (4-2, 3-0 5A-West) fought past the Panthers (1-5, 0-3) at home.

McCullough was 21-for-34 passing for 296 yards on the night. Three of his touchdown passes went to senior Tyric Robinson, who had 10 catches for 164 yards.

Clarksville scored the first three touchdowns, leading 21-0 with 8:35 left in the second quarter on a 46-yard run from junior Xavier Holland and 9-yard and 1-yard runs by sophomore Nicholas Buckner.

But Maumelle scored the last three touchdowns of the half, tying the game on 16-yard and 30-yard passes from McCullough to Robinson and a 6-yard run by junior Trey Jackson.

McCullough broke a third-quarter tie with a 30-yard pass to senior Byron Wade.

With 7:27 to go in the fourth quarter, Maumelle junior Antavius Henderson ran 3 yards for a touchdown, putting the Hornets up 35-21.

Less than two minutes later, Clarksville junior Colton Gregory ran 1 yard in for a touchdown, but Maumelle scored twice in the final minutes on a 26-yard field goal by senior Daniel Wheeler and a 17-yard pass from McCullough to Robinson.
