An Arkansas woman died in a one-car crash Monday after her car hit a culvert and flipped, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.
Carla Hamilton, 54, of Bradford was traveling east on Arkansas 14 in Jackson County when her car traveled off the road shortly before 10 a.m, state police said. The 2017 Kia Forte struck a culvert and turned over, reportedly ejecting Hamilton from the vehicle.
Authorities said the wreck happened close to a curve in the road near the community of Macks.
Conditions were said to be clear and dry at the time of the wreck. According to preliminary state police data, at least 385 people have died on Arkansas roads this year.
