A burglar rammed a car into the back of a pizza restaurant in Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood early Monday, allowing an accomplice to enter through the broken door and steal cash, police said.

The 42-year-old owner of Damgoode Pies at 2701 Kavanaugh Blvd. told police that security footage showed a silver four-door sedan backing into the rear door of the restaurant about 4 a.m., according to a report from the Little Rock Police Department.

The driver stayed inside the car while the passenger, who was wearing gloves and a mask, entered the restaurant through the broken door and took money from the cash register, the report states.

The thieves reportedly caused about $1,500 worth of damage to the building.

No suspects have been named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
