A third arrest has been made in a deadly carjacking at a central Arkansas apartment complex, the Pulaski County sheriff's office said Friday.

Jackie Andrew Jackson III, 28, was arrested on a charge of capital murder in the killing of 29-year-old James Ward, who was found fatally shot at Chapel Ridge apartments Sept. 28.

The apartment complex at 5900 McCain Park Place is just outside the North Little Rock city limits.

Authorities say Jackson, a Jacksonville resident, was arrested on a warrant Friday and admitted to Ward's robbery and slaying.

Earlier this month, authorities arrested Jeffrey King, 27, of Jacksonville and Terry Miller Jr., 26, of Cabot on charges of capital murder in the case.

Records show that all three men were being held without bail at the Pulaski County jail as of Friday afternoon.

An investigation is ongoing into Ward's killing.
