ENERGY
The Arkansas Energy Education Foundation presented two awards at the Arkansas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association annual meeting. Springdale School District teacher Jaime Cavitt was honored as the Arkansas Energy Rocks! Outstanding Educator. The Arkansas STEPS Network presented an award to William Brown, environmental health and safety coordinator for XTO Energy Inc. in Heber Springs.
MEDICAL
Pao-Feng Tsai, professor in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Nursing, and Sarah Rhoads, director of education in the UAMS Center for Distance Health, were inducted Oct. 7 as Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing.

The Arkansas Grocers and Retail Merchants Association awarded state Sen. Bart Hester of Cave Springs with the “Retail Champion Award.”
