After learning that a family friend's daughter, Miranda, has disappeared, therapist and former prosecutor Hailey Dean (Kellie Martin) is on the case in the Hailey Dean Mystery: Dating Is Murder. It premieres at 8 p.m. today on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. The movie is the third installment of the series based on characters from Nancy Grace's best-selling books.
The storyline revolves around a string of unsolved disappearances tied to a popular geo-dating app called PenguinMatch. With the help of her friend Sabrina (Emily Holmes), Hailey creates a dating profile to track down men who went on dates with missing Miranda. And, since it's a mystery movie, Sabrina is the next woman to disappear, which means Hailey must use her "sharp powers of observation and uncanny ability to read people to crack the case before time runs out."
