A 27-year-old man has been arrested weeks after he set fire to a car in a parking lot in west Little Rock, authorities said.

Gary Henson of Little Rock was arrested Monday afternoon on a charge of arson, a class A felony. He remained in the Pulaski County jail on Tuesday with bail not yet set.

According to a Little Rock Fire Department arrest report, Henson set a Dodge Charger on fire in a parking lot at 200 S. Shackleford Road, which is listed online as the location of Americas Best Value Inn.

A fire department spokesman said it happened on Sept. 22. The report said the car belonged to a Jacksonville man, though it didn't detail the extent of the damage or the motive in the case.

The spokesman said additional details would likely be released later Tuesday.
