A body found in a wooded area in Pope County is believed to be that of a man who was reported missing in May.
Identifying documents with the body suggest that it is 36-year-old Justin Waterman, who was reported missing May 4, the Pope County sheriff's office said in a statement.
The body, which was found Sunday, was sent to the state Crime Laboratory to confirm the identity, the statement said, noting investigators were treating the death as a suicide.
