Each year, Loving Choices serves more than 1,000 women -- whose average age is 18 to 24 years old, according to Jan Hixson, development director for the Northwest Arkansas nonprofit organization. The group has Rogers and Fayetteville locations, and offers free, confidential services such as tests for pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, obstetrical ultrasounds and a care center to help mothers with unplanned pregnancies.

Women participating in the group's mentoring program have opportunities to earn "Mommy Bucks" to be used in the Loving Choices Mommy Boutique. Items available -- all of which are donated and new or gently used -- include strollers, blankets, baby beds, car seats and pack-and-plays. Mommy Bucks also may be used for diapers.
