FORT SMITH -- An 18-year-old man was sentenced Monday to 50 years in prison for killing a University of Arkansas at Fort Smith engineering student and robbing his friend at gunpoint.

They could go ahead and leave off all that pity crap at the end of the story. If only his dad wasn't behind bars...if only his mom wasn't a drug addict. How many kids with a drug-addicted mom and dad in prison don't murder people? He chose to steal because he was too lazy to work for nice things himself. My only pity is for the victim. And 50 years is a joke, because he will get out a lot sooner and will be free to enjoy the rest of his life.
