Style: Coming home

A group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq struggles to integrate back into family and civilian life in Jason Hall’s Thank You For Your Service, based on the non-fiction book of the same name by David Finkel (coincidentally a 2016 documentary of the same name covered much the same territory). Our Dan Lybarger has tracked Hall down and has some questions about the movie, which looks to be one of the dramatic highlights of the season.

Lybarger also reviews George Clooney’s Suburbicon and interviews Orson Welles expert Joseph McBride on the occasion of the new Criterion Collection release of Welles’ remarkable Othello. And Piers Marchant contributes a piece on the secrets of Noah Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories. Plus we've got Karen Martin’s Home Movies column.

All in Friday’s Style section in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
