NW Business people

Elizabeth Carraway joined the Bentonville office of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication/public relations from the University of Central Arkansas in 2009.

Jacylyn Thrush, RRT-NPS, was named director of therapy services for Washington Regional Medical System. She joined Washington Regional in 2000 and was assistant director of therapy services. She graduated from the respiratory therapy program at Northwest Arkansas Community College and is a registered respiratory therapist, with board certification as a neonatal pediatric specialist. Thrush is a member of the Respiratory Therapy Advisory Board for NWACC.

Julie Riffe joined the Bentonville office of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette. She has worked in health care and other service industries.

Luke Wiggins joined Visit Rogers as meetings and conventions sales manager. He graduated with a degree in entrepreneurship from Kansas State University in 2013 and has worked in new business development for the Sheraton and Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. and as convention sales manager for Visit Manhattan.

Jacqueline Perea joined Prime Real Estate & Development as a real estate agent. She and her husband, Al, have been flipping homes for a while in Northwest Arkansas.

Clay Gordin joined Prime Real Estate & Development as a real estate agent. He began his real estate practice three years ago with an emphasis on commercial property.

Kendall Trainor joined 8th & Walton after spending more than 25 years with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. where he served as a senior director in IT, replenishment, strategic initiatives, and merchandise operations support and supplier collaboration. Most recently, he rolled out Wal-Mart's On Time In Full initiative.

Dr. Matthew B. McLellan joined Sparks Clinic Urgent Care, 2521 Alma Highway in Van Buren. The family medicine physician was a member of Cooper Clinic and has practiced medicine in the River Valley for more than 15 years. McLellan is board certified in family practice and earned his degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Dr. Donald P. Samms joined Sparks Clinic Urgent Care, 2521 Alma Highway in Van Buren. The family medicine physician was a member of Cooper Clinic and has practiced medicine in the River Valley for more than 15 years. Samms is board certified in family practice and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. He completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Center in Fort Smith.

Dr. Patricio Montiel joined Mercy Clinic Primary Care -- Hope Campus in Fort Smith. He was a disaster recovery case manager in 2002 after Tropic Storm Allison hit the Houston area. He has also been a field coordinator for a foundation that sought to find and treat people with undiagnosed glaucoma. The Hope Campus offers assistance to homeless residents. Montiel earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and finished a residency in family medicine at UAMS-West in Fort Smith this past summer.
