A 19-year-old Arkansas man died Monday evening when his vehicle crashed off a state highway, authorities said.
It happened about 5:45 p.m. as Jayson Creg Bonner of Norman was driving a 1995 Toyota south on Arkansas 27 in Montgomery County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Police said Bonner "failed to negotiate a left hand curve" before the Toyota ran off the east shoulder, crashed down an embankment and hit a culvert.
Bonner suffered fatal injuries. No one else was listed as being hurt.
Conditions at the time were said to be clear, dark and dry.
At least 419 people have died in traffic crashes in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
