MENA -- Senior Carson Cannon scored three touchdowns for the Bearcats (1-0) as they sailed past the Leopards (0-1).
Cannon was 6-for-11 passing with 80 yards and 2 touchdowns and also logged a rushing touchdown.
Senior Justin Dean opened the scoring with just less than seven minutes left in the first quarter with a 56-yard touchdown run, which was followed three minutes later by a 6-yard touchdown pass from Cannon to junior Jonny Gunn.
In the third quarter, Cannon threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to junior Nick Linch, then added the two-point conversion. Cannon ran 3 yards for a touchdown later in the quarter.

De Queen scored its only touchdown with 9:49 left in the fourth quarter.
Dean then returned the Leopards' kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown, and senior Zack Wyant ran two yards for the Bearcats' final score of the game.
Dean finished with 106 yards rushing.
