Not sure what to make of this diplomacy by Trump, but I'll take it. It was basically a shot at Republicans who have yet to pass any substantial legislation, showing them that sometimes little wins can lead to bigger gains. At a time when Republicans control both houses of Congress and the White House, they have been the least effective of any time in recent history. Trump was just getting tired of Republican stagnation.

Hey RBear - Now you're beginning to see why 60 million or so people voted for President Trump. He's not a tribalist or a political elite. Yes, his politics are more closely aligned with Republicans but he'll do a deal with the devil (in this case Pelosi and Shumer) if that's what it takes to get what he wants. Republicans would be wise to understand who/what they are dealing with and use it to their advantage.

This was the best deal Trump has done thus far. And I am going to bet he will do it again for the Dreamers to avoid being known as the mean-spirited guy who deported all of them.

We'll see if Trump comes thru with his part of the deal.

Pack, actually I don't think the 60 million figure is accurate. I would put it lower than that, considering a lot of his votes were "ABH" votes just like a lot of Hillary's votes were "ABT" votes. It will be interesting to see what "deals" he has planned for this in the long game. While unrelated to this, I've heard a deal of DACA for border wall.

No. Kanye is an idiot. A buffoon. A con and a liar. That will never change.
This has shown nothing except that Republicans can not govern. Period. And Kanye knows the only way to get anything done is to go Dems and moderates. Poor stupid lying Ryan. Here comes the pressure form the nuts (Freedom caucus). You guys made the bed. So now cuddle up.
The GOP is always banking the Dems will want to do what's right; pay the bills, provide aid for the victims, so they will old the American credit and the neediest citizens hostage knowing Dems will do what is right. They are a really sh&%^%ty bunch. But I've only been paying attention for about 25 years now.

What 3WS said. Amazing right wingers like gohogs can't figure that stuff out. Shows how little they understand the "deal."
