HUTTIG -- A lone bandit held up the First National bank here shortly after 1 o'clock today and escaped with between $6,000 and $7,000. More than $2,000 was in gold, and the remainder in silver and currency. The daylight hold-up was staged at a time when the bank transacts little business. The cashier, W. P. Reasons, had just opened the bank after lunch. The robber entered with the request that some bills be changed. As the cashier turned to comply the robber drew a gun and commanded Reasons to throw up his hands.
