Party on Park Hill, the second in the Quapaw Quarter Association's Summer Supper series, was Aug. 24 in the newly renovated North Little Rock home of landscaper and interior designer Chris Olsen.
Although it was August, the night was unseasonably cool. Dinner was served against the backdrop of Olsen's Mediterranean-style home with its white stucco walls, arches and tile roof. Guests dined family style at long tables in the courtyard, garden and dining room. They enjoyed a buffet of breaded chicken breasts with lemon caper butter, wild rice medley, orange rolls and strawberry poppy-seed salad catered by Flavors.
Before dinner, guests enjoyed the drink of the evening, a Sea Breeze, while touring the home, now called The Edgemont House. The house was once the home of builder and Park Hill neighborhood planner Justin Matthews Jr. Serving as the evening's hosts were Fred Knight and Ron Maxwell, Scott Heffington and Rickey Medlock, John Gaudin and Corky Patton, Todd Herman and Harry Gerard and Bryan Griffith and Chris Morgan.
