ROGERS -- Sophomore quarterback Hunter Loyd threw two touchdowns and ran for another in the first half as the Mounties improved to 3-0 with an easy victory over St. Louis Normandy at Whitey Smith Stadium.

The Mounties pushed the lead to 21-0 in the first quarter after the first of three interceptions on defense. Sophomore defensive back Logan Watkins picked off Normandy quarterback Joseph Washington and returned it to the Vikings' 1. Loyd sneaked in with more than two minutes left in the opening quarter.

Rogers added two more scores in the second quarter. The first came on an eight-play, 64-yard drive. The second was a two-play drive finished off by Loyd-to-Hawkins again.
