At least 5 Walk On's

to open in Arkansas

Walk On's, a Baton Rouge-based restaurant chain, has signed an area development agreement for Arkansas to bring at least five locations to the state.

The deal calls for five Arkansas restaurants, three in the Little Rock area and two in Northwest Arkansas. The locations of the operations have not been determined.

The development agreement is with Chris McJunkins, a Shreveport businessman who is a 35-year veteran of the restaurant industry and owner of Walk On's locations in Shreveport and Bossier City, La.

The chain is known for its Louisiana-style offerings that are served in a game-day atmosphere by wait staff dressed as cheerleaders, according to a release.

"Everything about our brand is superior -- our incredible Louisiana-style food, our wide array of cocktails and craft beers, the family-friendly sports atmosphere, and our commitment to outstanding customer service," McJunkins said in a statement.
