Police: Group of masked, armed robbers enter Arkansas home, beat men, steal keys

A group of masked assailants with guns beat two men in a home invasion in Arkansas late Sunday before stealing the keys to a Suburban that belonged to the victims, according to a police report.

Shortly before 12:10 a.m. Monday, two Jonesboro men reported that three to four male robbers had entered their residence in the 200 block of Allis Street and hit them over the head, demanding money.

Both victims reportedly had cuts to their heads. The 41- and 58-year-old victims told police that the assailants had ransacked the house and left with the keys to their silver 2016 Chevrolet Suburban.

While one officer interviewed the victims, another found the stolen vehicle parked about a block away from the home, according to the report. The vehicle was locked, and no one was nearby.

While there, a 36-year-old man approached the officer and said a group of four or five male strangers had entered his home, which is near where the home invasion occurred, shortly before midnight Sunday, police wrote in the report. He reportedly said two of them had guns, and all appeared to be in their late 20s.

No suspects were named on the report, and the investigation is ongoing, a spokesman for the Jonesboro Police Department said.
