Authorities say they have arrested an Arkansas teen who fled from police during a traffic stop on Wednesday, according to the Texarkana Gazette.

Shawn Vaughn, a spokesman for Texarkana, Texas, police, told the newspaper that Camron Blackwell initially seemed to comply with officers who attempted to pull him over on New Boston Road around 9:10 p.m.

The 18-year-old drove into a Burger King parking lot, the spokesman said, but then continued around the building and accelerated onto the road, where he crashed into a wrecker. Both vehicles were substantially damaged, police told the Texarkana Gazette.

Emergency medical staff reportedly treated Vaughn and the wrecker's driver for minor injuries.

Officers said the teen then climbed out of a window and ran until he was arrested trying to get over a fence, the newspaper reported.

As of Friday, Vaughn was being held at the Bi-State Justice Building jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.

He faces charges of evading arrest with a vehicle, possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
