A man died at a central Arkansas hospital after being shot Thursday night, police said.
Officers with the North Little Rock Police Department went at 8:09 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Summertree Drive on a call that an individual had been shot.
There, 26-year-old Dwight Johnson of North Little Rock was found lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release.
Johnson was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-Springhill, where he died of his injuries, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
Johnson's killing marked the seventh homicide in North Little Rock in 2017, police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said.
