Cab driver shot in the face, Little Rock police say

Little Rock police say a 38-year-old cab driver was shot in the face a few blocks south of the Little Rock Zoo on Sunday morning.

Kaylop Knight was sitting in his cab at the intersection of 12th Street and Fair Park Boulevard, when someone walked up to the passenger side and shot him in the face around 3:25 a.m., according to a police report.

As of Sunday afternoon, Knight was at the hospital in serious condition.

Knight was unable to describe the person who shot him. Police said the shooter may have been driving a Chevrolet Avalanche.

The investigation is ongoing.
