St. Edward Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, for the marriage of Monica Lauren Miller and Samuel Thomas Clark. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

Elaine and David Wayne Miller of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Paul and the late Linda Miller of West Memphis and the late Mary and Glenn Madere Jr. of San Antonio.

Parents of the bridegroom are Shawn and Kenny Clark of Little Rock. His grandparents are Merlene Clark, Luana and the late Samuel Bracy III and the late Tiny Bracy, all of Little Rock.

The chancel held white arrangements of roses, freesia, hydrangeas, dusty miller and silver dollar eucalyptus. Music was by organist Bob Bidewell and vocalists Lindsey Clark Tugman, sister of the bridegroom, and Eddie Beard.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a trumpet-style gown embellished with embroidery and with a high illusion neckline. She carried a white bouquet of roses, freesia and hydrangeas.

Maid of honor was Melissa Nichole Miller of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Hall of Memphis; Alli Howland of Little Rock, sister of the bridegroom; Lydia Osborn of North Little Rock; Casey Settle of Denver, cousin of the bride; and Lindsey Dennis of Kansas City, Mo. They wore black gowns with off-the-shoulder draping and carried blush and white bouquets similar to the bride's.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Madison Madere of Austin, Texas, cousin of the bride, and William Arthur Tugman of Vacaville, Calif., nephew of the bridegroom.

Serving as best man was Matt Rozzell of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Ricard Requena, Chet Howland, Braelon Leniear and Ashton Hollowell, all of Little Rock, and Adam Koehler of Fayetteville. Guests were seated by Michael Miller and Andrew Tripplett, both of Little Rock.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Junior League of Little Rock building. The head table was decorated with a floral garland and candles. Guest tables were centered with large arrangements of wedding flowers on gold stands.

The bride graduated suma cum laude from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She was a UA Fellow, National Merit Scholar, a Governor's Distinguished Scholar and was named to the chancellor's list. She is a financial analyst for Wells Fargo.

The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the university, where he was a member of the Schola Cantorum and Barbara Mashburn Scholarship Foundation Singers. He is a natural gas engineer and manager for CenterPoint Energy.

The couple will reside in Houston after a wedding trip to Male, Maldives.
