A woman who was attacked in Little Rock early Sunday was knocked unconscious and woke up later in a location she did not know, according to a police report.
Officers reportedly responded to a call from CHI St. Vincent hospital about 5:45 a.m. and found a 24-year-old woman who said she had been beaten up in the 1500 block of North University Avenue.
The Little Rock woman told police that she had driven herself to a club near that address, the report said. She reportedly said she had four or five drinks then stepped outside to call for a ride home just before 2 a.m., but her phone wasn't working.
While she was looking down at the screen, she said, an unknown assailant suddenly struck the left side of her head, according to the report.
She told authorities that she tried to fight back but blacked out. The report states that she woke up in the grass in an unknown location with her car running in a nearby parking lot. She then realized her credit card and the cigarettes she was carrying had been stolen, according to the report.
The woman reportedly drove herself to the hospital. Officers noted that she had bruises and scratches on her face, neck and limbs as well as an abrasion on her left shoulder and back.
No suspects have been named on the report.
