Hold on to your remote controls, fellow coach potatoes. Today and Wednesday are the busiest back-to-back days in the new fall season. First up, the two freshmen.

SEAL Team storms in at 8 p.m. Wednesday on CBS. This is the best of several new dramas featuring elite military squads. SEAL Team features 48-year-old David Boreanaz (fresh from Bones) as intense mission leader Jason Hayes.

Hayes' A-Team of heroes includes his trusted confidant, Ray (Neil Brown Jr.); the frequently self-destructive Sonny (AJ Buckley); second-generation SEAL probationary Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), and unofficial den mother/logistics officer Davis (Toni Trucks).

Coordinating everything is terrorist-hating CIA analyst Mandy Ellis (Jessica Pare).

There's plenty of nail-biting action in this series to go along with the glimpses of home life. Old pro Boreanaz is nicely multilayered as Hayes.

Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, 9 p.m. today on NBC. This is the first in a new anthology series from Dick Wolf. The eight-episode drama stars Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie) as defense attorney Leslie Abramson in the 1993 nationally televised murder trial of Lyle and Erik Menendez.
