Robbed at gunpoint of SUV after stopping to ask for directions in Little Rock, man tells police

A driver was robbed at gunpoint of his wallet, cellphone and SUV early Wednesday after stopping in Little Rock to ask for directions, according to a police report.

The victim, a 34-year-old Conway man, told investigators he was driving along Pine Cone Drive in south Little Rock and looking for a house on Arapaho Trail. He pulled over around 12:45 a.m. to ask a male standing at the intersection of Pine Cone Drive and Hilaro Springs Road for directions, the report said.

The male walked around to the driver's side of the vehicle, where he pulled out a black revolver and told the victim to "give him everything he has," according to the report.

The robber reportedly took the victim's wallet and cellphone and then got into his 2013 Nissan Pathfinder with two other people. The group drove off in the stolen vehicle south on Hilaro Springs Road, leaving the victim at the corner.

The 34-year-old was able to call the police on his smartwatch.

The total value of the stolen items was reported as $15,750.

No suspects were named on the report. The gunman was described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes.
